Asphalt Preservation

Cracks provide an entry point for water to seep deep into asphalt, well below the surface. Once the water is trapped there, it can freeze and cause further damage, leading to even more water infiltration and rapid degradation of the pavement. We recommend filling cracks annually with a hot-applied rubber sealant. We do not use cold-pour products because they are ineffective in our freeze-thaw climate. Our in-house "heated hose" machine can manage nearly any size crack-filling job. This trailer-mounted machine forces hot rubber into the cracks under pressure, filling them from the bottom up. It's the most effective method available.

A seal coat, often referred to as a slurry seal, serves as a protective layer on top of asphalt. It acts like sunscreen, shielding the asphalt from UV rays and weather damage. This process is highly effective in preventing "raveling," which is when gravel begins to loosen from the surface of the asphalt. Additionally, seal coating enhances the appearance of the pavement, giving it a deep black color. It is a cost-effective solution, and we exclusively use the highest quality product: Tuffcoat P+.

Parking lots should be re-striped regularly to ensure that your customers know where to park. It’s a cost-effective maintenance option, especially when paired with a fresh seal coat. We can assist with marking parking spaces, crosswalks, handicapped spaces, and even red curbs!
