Hot-Rubber Crack Filling

Our hot crack filling services prevent water and debris from penetrating the asphalt, significantly extending its life. We use high-quality hot-applied, polymer-modified rubber to seal gaps and cracks, keeping your driveways and parking lots smooth and safe. As a locally owned and fully insured team, 2S Coatings provides durable, expert repairs that protect your investment and improve your property’s curb appeal.

Steve Operating the Heated Hose Crack Filling Machine

The Gold Standard of Crack Filling is known as the "Heated Hose Machine". This trailer-mounted unit uses a special wand to force hot rubber into cracks under pressure; filling them from the bottom-to-top. We find that - while it's faster to do - using a "pour pot" to fill cracks just doesn't hold up very well in our climate.

Freshly Crack-Filled Parking Lot

A parking lot this size only takes a few hours to complete, with minimal disruption to normal traffic. After we're done, it can be immediately reopened to traffic with no cure time needed.

Common Questions

What areas do you service?

We provide asphalt maintenance and crack filling services for residential and commercial properties across most of Northern Utah:

  • Ogden

  • Layton

  • Kaysville

  • Centerville

  • Bountiful

  • Woods Cross

  • North Salt Lake

  • Salt Lake

  • Midvale

  • West Valley

  • Draper

  • South Jordan

How long does the crack filling process take?

It depends on the size of the project. We're pretty good at keeping the disruption to a minimum, and can usually work around any special requirements you may have:

  • Business hours

  • Resident Access

  • After hours/nights

How often should we be crack filling?

It depends, but usually at least every 12 months. It's MUCH quicker and easier to keep up on, than it is to catch up on. What might only cost $500 to touch-up every year, could cost $5000 if neglected for a few years. This is primarily because (left alone), weeds and vegetation will grow in the cracks, causing damage to the asphalt AND being difficult and expensive to remove. It's very quick and easy to do an annual touch-up.
